Hey everyone!
This is my first blog post so I hope it finds you all well. I am a recent college grad who loves anything and everything DIY. Since I have some free time on my hands while on the job hunt, I like to use that time to create things for my house. I'll start with something simple which was a DIY Wine Cork Wreath. It was important that I finished the wreath before July 12th, because that was the day that my sister was getting married and she thought it would look great in wedding pictures. The last picture where you can see the bottom half hanging over three pairs of cowboy boots is my favorite. Those are the boots that my sisters and I wore for the wedding (Yes, the bride wore cowboy boots as well!)

First you need to buy one of these handy foam circles from somewhere like Michael's craft store or AC Moore. Mine came from Michael's and the best part about that was the coupons that Michael's has to offer!

To begin putting the corks into the foam wreath, I had read that the best way to do it was by sticking toothpicks into one end of the cork and then into the foam wreath.

It is best to fill in the inside first…
And then the outside second!

Finished with that part!

Once the inside ring and outside ring are complete, then comes the real fun! Begin placing corks where you feel they look best. You can leave some higher than others with some red wine corks facing out to mix it up.

Keep going! I know it's time consuming!

Once it's complete, the excitement of where to hang it takes over! I chose to hang mine from my fireplace mantle because it went best with the theme of my living room.

This is a picture that was taken of the cowboy boots that my sisters and I wore in front of my fireplace. I really think that the wreath gives not only the picture but the room a lot of character. Another great thing about this wreath is that you are able to accessorize it with the seasons! What do you guys think?

XOXO,
Paige
